HOW IT WORKS

All you need to do is send me a few snaps of your critter or critters, tell me about the things they do that make them them, then I’ll do the rest!

    1. Send me some snaps First send me some photos. A few of each pet from different angles is ideal but not essential. I wont be faithfully copying any of them, rather my illustrations will be a blend of how they look and what they do, with a splash of fun.
    2. What makes them unique We can discuss a few things they do that you think sum them up. If you have more than one pet you want to include, you can choose a thing that they each do or maybe a mixture of things they do together and individual traits. We can talk it through by phone or email.
    3. The ideas bit I discuss the ideas of what I plan to draw with you, to make sure you think it’s right.
    4. I start scribbling I then produce pencil sketches of each of the 4 pictures for your portrait and I will send you a black and white version to approve or amend, before I do the final artwork.
    5. Colour and print Next I add colour to the portrait to really bring them to life. I will send you the updated portrait to check before I print it onto art paper at 20cm x 20cm (that’s 8 inches x 8 inches)
    6. Frame it I print all the portraits at this size. The price includes framing in a deep, high quality white frame that can be freestanding or wall hung. The frame measures 23cm or 9 inches square. The artwork can be printed at larger sizes at extra cost upon request.
    7. Your pet portrait wings it’s way to you International orders welcome! My frames do include glass and are well protected for shipping, whether that’s in the U.K. or abroad. I have delivered orders to places such as the United States and Australia and all have arrived safely. I will confirm shipping costs when you place your order.
    8. How long before it’s in your paws? From commission to delivery of your portrait takes on average 2 to 3 weeks, slightly longer for international orders, as it takes me around 10 hours of work in total. Of course if your pet portrait is needed as a gift for a particular date, let me know and I’m sure I can make it happen.
    9. Cost The 4 picture printed and framed pet portrait of either one or multiple pets will cost the same £80.00 + shipping costs. The portraits always feature 4 different pictures, regardless of whether that’s one or four pets, and the time it takes to create is the same.

So if you’re a human who’d love to celebrate your furry friend, or you know someone who’d love a pet portrait with a difference, get in touch. You can place an order and see more of my work by visiting my Etsy Shop here. Or contact me via the form above and we can discuss your new ‘pawtrait’. It’s going to be as unique as they are!
